Welcome to New Student Orientation
We are looking forward to seeing you at your CLC New Student Orientation on Thursday, June 4th, 2026* in the A Wing Auditorium (Room A011) at the Grayslake Campus.
Below are details to help you prepare for orientation:
- The program starts at 1 p.m., so please arrive between 12 and 12:45 p.m. The check-in area is on the first level of the A Wing.
- You can park in any of the student parking lots next to the A and P Wing. No parking passes are needed. A Grayslake Campus map is available at Grayslake Campus Map The PACE bus stop located near the P Building entrance.
- You do not need to bring any materials for orientation. A notebook and pen will be provided to take notes.

Please download and sign in to the Navigate360 Student app prior to your arrival to be able to check in on your day of orientation.

What to expect at your New Student Orientation
Orientation begins in the Auditorium with a welcome and opportunity to meet other new students. You will then spend time in a small group meeting with faculty and Academic Advisor where you will discuss student success strategies and resources. Then you’ll experience our lancer mixer with an array of fun activities. The program concludes at 4:30 p.m., including light refreshments.
Student ID and CLC Library
The CLC Library will be open for you to get your student ID card and check out any technology you might need for class (laptop, hotspot, or calculator). To obtain your CLC ID, please bring a photo ID (such as a state ID or high school ID) with your name and picture. Please know that lines can sometimes take a long time to pick up an ID at orientation, so you are welcome to get yours at another time.
Other CLC Offices
Most campus offices will be open until 4:30 p.m. including Onboarding and Advising, Lancer Zone Bookstore, Welcome and One Stop Center, and Financial Aid.
